Along with its neighboring community of Ocean Beach, Point Loma has remained a haven for those seeking the sun, surf, and sailing that is quintessentially Southern California.

Gentle sea breezes give Point Loma its Mediterranean climate with summer temperatures barely above 85 degrees and an average winter temperature of 68 degrees.   Practically an island along the San Diego coastline, the Peninsula is a perennial playground for aquatics lovers.

Visitors and locals alike are attracted to Ocean Beach and Sunset Cliffs for their sunning, swimming, diving, and surfing areas.  Point Loma’s nautical village invites the young and old to enjoy opportunities for yachting, sailing, whale watching, and sport fishing.

Point Loma’s locale is ideal.
Centrally located and outside the mainstream traffic of greater San Diego, this portside community is just five minutes from downtown; and two minutes from the international airport at Lindbergh Field.

Reminiscent of a sleepy little fishing village of old, Point Loma has retained much of its original charm as when it was one of San Diego’s earliest communities.
